Wale’s new Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer

At the beginning of the week, we unveiled photos of the newly-created Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer that incorporates new attributes and borrows elements from its Nike Training predecessors. We showed you slew of colorways that are Larry Fitzgerald exclusives; however, we have spotted one of our favorite sneaker enthusiasts rocking a never-before-seen Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer that will supposedly hit retailers during the holiday season. DC rapper Wale was spotted at a party the other night wearing this new Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer. It features a primarily green leather construction with yellow contrast stitching throughout the base. Other minimal black and yellow attributes, such as the Huarache logo on the tongue, the yellow swoosh on the heel panel and the black laces, give this shoe nice color blocking. Wale obviously shows us that you don’t have to be on the turf to rock a clean pair of Nike Zoom Huarache Trainers; red carpets are always safe haven for fresh kicks. View additional photos below. Rising hip-hop star and fellow sneaker enthusiast has been rocking some upcoming heat long before official release dates; either Nike’s using him as a pitchman or his Nike Outlet hunting skills are top notch. Last time Wale had us green with envy was when he wore the Neon Nike Air Max 24/7, and during a fun night out with Young Dro and Rosa Acosta, Wale rocked a sweet Oregon-inspired colorway of the upcoming Nike Huarache TR Mid that we showed you during our in-depth coverage of the Nike Athletic Training Footwear Preview. This time around, we have a look at a Huarache 2010 made exclusively for Shawn Marion of the Dallas Mavericks. This pair hosts a white upper with navy and bright blue accents, along with Marion’s “Matrix” logo, which can be seen on the tongue. LaMarcus Aldridge was chosen second in the 2006 NBA Draft by Chicago, only to be traded to Portland that same day.  There’s bound to be some Sam Bowie ghosting in there somewhere, but both the Bulls and Blazers were eliminated in the first round of this year’s NBA Playoffs.  We showed you a couple pairs of Aldridge’s Nike Huarache 2010 PEs early in their series with Phoenix, but neither of those colorways proved to have the winning touch.  Then again, when you look at those and this new Huarache 2010 PE, it’s clear LaMarcus’ shoes weren’t to blame.  The Huarache 2K10 looks dope as always in the (ahem) Chicago-style home colorway, and shows how versatile the colorblocking options truly are on this seemingly simple sneaker.  Check out some more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the latest NBA Player Exclusives from Nike Basketball. continue reading…
